Rhinophores

Rhinophores are the primary chemoreceptors of nudibranchs. They are located at the front of the animal and come in various shapes. Since there is a pair of them separated by some distance, they can probably indicate the direction a smell is coming from rather well. As you can see, rhinophore come in many shapes. Many nudibranchs can withdraw their rhinophores.
