Gills
Dorid nudibranchs use their branchial plume (gills) for respiration. There are three types of gills used by Dorids: the Unipinnate Plume, the Shielded Plume, and the Tripinnate Plume.
In some nudibranchs the gills can be withdrawn into a sheath.
